My orange blood runs deep.  I am a 2-time graduate (BA, MBA) and 3-time National Swimming Champion ('00-'02) for the University of Texas.  Upon stepping foot on the 40 acres I immediately felt Coach Royal's legacy.  His success has paved a clear road for young men and women to compete and win all over the World for UT.

Coach Royal's fight with Alzheimer's was very sad.  But with the platform he built through success we can raise awareness and money to fight this nasty disease.  A disease I know too well.

My mother has Alzheimer's.  Many of you know my Mom. She has given everything possible to her husband and three sons, and always been so loving and supportive of her family and her friends.   Being an educator for 30+ years she's impacted positively many more.  It's a daily struggle for me and my family, but through awareness we hope will come sympathy and empathy in the form of donation.  The DKR Fund is focused on smart research done by the smartest Texans and others all across the World.  We need to find a cure.  It's my hope that families generations forward don't have to experience what Coach Royal's family and my family are confronted with daily.
