Fundraising with Matt Moncrief
My name is Matt Moncrief and I am an Executive Committee member for the Darrell K Royal Research Fund’s Legacy Council. I am honored to be part of the Legacy Council to help raise awareness and money to help support both research and care for Texans to cure Alzheimer’s disease.
I have watched a number of my close friends and family deal with this disease, from the patient to the caregiver, Alzheimer’s takes its toll on all those involved. The DKR Fund provides an opportunity for people to not only donate, but to learn about this disease.
I do this in memory of my wife’s grandmother, Poddy, who was an unbelievable inspiration to her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
Matt was born, raised and currently lives in Houston, TX but tries to find every excuse to get back to Austin. Matt grew up going to UT football games for as long as he could remember. He graduated from the University in 2007, following in the footsteps of his parents who were there back in the glory days of Coach Royal. Matt currently works for Salient Partners and he and his wife, Lauren, have 2 boys, Henry and Lucas.
