Hi my name is Alex Perkins and I am honored to be apart of the Legacy Council raising money for the Darrell K. Royal Research Fund for Alzheimer's Disease. There are few things in life I cherish more than The University of Texas and all that it has given me, but one thing I never take for granted is my health. As someone who is fortunate enough to be healthy, I feel a sense of responsibility to promote a quality of life that all people deserve.

Alzheimer's has made its impact on millions of people in the United States and requires a collective effort from all to fight this terrible disease. No matter the method, I believe everyone is capable of doing something to contribute. As a Legacy Council member, I hope I can do my part to elevate Alzheimer's from a disease to cause.
