The purpose of the DARRELL K ROYAL RESEARCH FUND FOR ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE is to support Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Traumatic Brain Injury, and neurological injury research, treatment, and awareness occurring from but not limited to sports injury, aging, traumatic injury or undetermined origin in Texas in the name of, honor and memory of Darrell K Royal and caregiving support, education and awareness in the name and honor of Edith T. Royal.
DKR Fund grants recipients are chosen by a national expert panel using NIH scale. DKR Fund has awarded over $1.700,000 in 2 years to the following recipients:
