Whitney Knouse's Fundraising Page

Whitney Knouse graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006 with a B.S. in Communication Studies and a minor in German. She currently lives in Dallas and works as the accountant at the George W. Bush Foundation.

My grandfather, William Norris Rider, Jr., was a brilliant engineer who never met a stranger and was my personal hero as a little girl. Growing up, Pops, as I dubbed him, was a huge presence in my life, never missing one of my basketball games or dance routines. During my years spent at UT, Pops developed Early Onset Dementia, and my family and I helplessly watched as his mind and body slowly deteriorated. It was heartbreaking to see such a strong, intelligent, loving man and the patriarch of our family succumb to such a devastating disease. Pops passed away in 2007, and I miss him everyday. I hope you will consider donating and joining me in the fight against Alzheimer's and Dementia.
