Alzheimer's and The University of Texas are probably two causes closest to my heart. We are so close to finding a cure! Please join me and the Legacy Council in support of our committment to excellence in Alzheimer's research by supporting the DKR Research Fund.
Thank you to all !
My sister Hilary and I's grandmother, Mary M. Hamilton, was diagnosed with dementia, a form of Alzheimer's disease, in 2003 at the young age of 71.
In 2007, her health began to really decline, and this decline brought her to us. We were fortunate enough to have our grandmother live in our backhouse for the last years of her life. We were able to share countless meals and spend precious time with her on a daily basis. The daily struggles were tough for her, on our family, and on her caretakers. I am honored to serve on a council to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease, for all of the people who are directly and indirectly affected by this devastating sickness.
Riley graduated with a degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2011. Upon her graduation, she moved back to her hometown, Houston, and currently working as a Business Analyst at Halliburton, an Upsteam Oilfield Services company.
