Don't count the days, make the days count. - Muhammad Ali
My involvement in the DKR Legacy Council stems from my father's diagnosis with early on-set Alzheimer's disease in 2012. Dad has taken on this challenge with unwavering positivity serving as an inspiration to not only myself, but everyone that knows him. My mom has been there every step of the way and provides a guiding light to the rest of our family as we progress down a formidable road.
I ask that you help us in our effort to help fund programs that will not only help those that have been diagnosed, but the caregivers and other support systems that are affected by Alzheimer's disease. A portion of the proceeds donated will be utilized to support the DKR Fund's research grant initiative, which actively engages world-class doctors and research scientists in Alzheimer's and dementia related studies.
Dad was born in Houston, TX and attended the University of Texas at Austin earning two Bachelor of Science degrees in Marine Biology and Electrical & Computer Engineering. He is an aspiring artist, photographer, athlete, and most importantly a family man. Like his father, Kyle is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he was a walk-on basketball player and member of the Texas Cowboys.
