Joel Kelley's Fundraising Page
Alzheimer's disease is a disease that has impacted too many people throughout this world. It is with that issue that I am driven to help in any way I can to find a cure, and to help those currently afflicted with the disease. Please, with your help, the help of the Legacy Council and the DKR Foundation we can erradicate and cure Alzheimer's disease!
Thank you for supporting me and the Darrel K. Royal Foundation!
This disease has shaped my family and I on many different levels. My grandmother, Dorothy Sue Coolidge was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in the spring of 2001, and progressively got worse until her death in 2007. She would have her good days and bad, but I am thankful for the times I was able to share with her throughout her life.
Now, about 7 years later; my mother, Jennifer Coolidge Kelley, was diagnosed with the disease in the summer of 2014. I am thankful for the advances we have made in modern medicine to where we can stay a step ahead of this disease on a day to day basis. But the battle is far from over; I am excited and determined to give 100% of my efforts to help the DKR foundation eliminate this disease. I do this for my mother, my grandmother, and for everyone that has been affected by this disease.
