I am so honored to be a part of the Legacy Council raising money for the Darrell K Royal Research Fund. This cause is important to me for a multitude of reasons. I've seen the effects of Alzheimer's Disease in my own family, in a battle that was ultimately lost. I also continue to see the effect of this unbearable disease firsthand as my friends and mentors continue to battle the disease within their own families. I know that it's a constant struggle, and I'm so honored to help raise funds for this cause.
Further, I am so blessed to have met the Darrell K Royal, a legend to all of us Longhorns and football lovers. I shook his hand the day he was presented with the Longhorn Lifetime Acheivement Award. Although he is gone, this is his legacy, and I am so proud to be a part of this cause. I hope that we can truly make a difference.

He previously was a committee leader for the BVB powder-puff football game that raised $105,000 for the Alzheimer's Association, and he is excited for the opportunity to surpass his previous fundraising goals for this noble cause.
