Chris Ogden's Fundraising Page

I am from a small town in West Texas called Seminole which has a population of 5,000 people, 3 red lights, a few farm animals and 2 Dairy Queens.  15 years ago, I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas in which I was a member of the basketball team for 4 years.  While living in Jester dorm my freshman and sophomore year, I became best friends with Sean Foley.  Sean is the reason I am involved with the DKR Fund besides my love for UT and admiration for Coach Royal. Sean's mother was diagnozed with the disease a few years back, and to see the effects it has had not only on her but also on Sean and the rest of his family was a big eye opener for me.  I was not all that familiar with the disease up until then and am willing and hungry to learn even more.

I am currently an assistant coach for the men's basketball program at Texas. I live in Austin with my wife Katie (also a graduate of the University) and we have 3 kids Bo (5), Ellie (3) and Parker (1).  We are very excited to be involved with this great cause and look forward to growing the awareness for it.
